HOW DID HE MAKE IT KNOWN?
Through His Law.
WHO COMMITTED THE FIRST SIN?
Adam.
12. Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, because all men sinned.
13. Sin was in the world before ever the Law was given, but sin is not charged to men's account where there is no law.
14. Yet death held sway from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not themselves transgress as Adam did. Adam was a type of the One Who was to come.
Rom 5:12-14
IN ADAM we ALL died (spiritually), but IN CHRIST we are ALL made alive.
1 Cor 15:22
WHAT IS THE LAW?
The ten commandments.
1. "I am the LORD your God. You shall have no other gods before me." Ex 20:2,3
2."You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God. Ex 20:4-6
3. "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain. " Ex 20:7
4. "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy." Ex 20:8
5."Honor your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God gives you"
(Exodus 20:12)
6. "You shall not kill." Ex 20:13
7. "You shall not commit adultery." Ex 20:14
8. "You shall not steal." Ex 20:15
9."You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."
Ex 20:16
10."You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife; nor any thing that is your neighbor's." Ex 20:17
HOW STRICT IS GOD'S LAW?
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
James 2:10
WHAT IS CHRIST'S RELATIONSHIP TO THE LAW?
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Gal 3:24
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:17
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Gal 2:16
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, by becoming a curse for us--for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE". He did this in order that the blessing of Abraham might come to us, "the Gentiles"; and that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal 3:13,14 ["indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies." Gen 18:18;Gen 22:17;Heb 6:13-15]
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Gal 2:21
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Gal 5:4
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
Phil 3:9
For Christ is the end of the Law as the means of righteousness for everyone who trusts in and adheres to and relies on Him.
Rom 10:4
WHY IS GOD SO STRONG AGAINST SIN?
Because sin brings death.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom 6:23
WHAT WAS GOD'S SOLUTION FOR SIN?
He sent His Son to us; to pay the price for sin.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
2 Cor 5:21
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal 4:4,5
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
THE GOODNESS OF GOD
I will not despise the riches of Your goodness, and forbearance, and longsuffering; for I know that it is Your goodness which leads me to repentance.
Rom 2:4
LOVING THE LORD
I will show my love for You, Lord, by obeying Your commandments. I abstain from evil; in whatever form it takes.

Rom 12:9
LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD
I am in Christ; and I have crucified my flesh with its passions and desires.
25 I live in the Spirit; and I walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:24,25
DEAD TO SIN
I consider myself to be dead to sin; but alive to You, God, in Christ Jesus. I therefore do not let sin reign in my mortal body; so as to obey its lusts.
Rom 6:11-12
I will not continue in sin that Your grace may abound. I am dead to sin; and I will not live any longer therein.
Rom 6:1,2
THE FLESH IS WEAK
I will watch and pray; keep awake; give strict attention to; be cautious and active; that I may not enter into temptation. My spirit indeed is willing [to obey], but my flesh is weak.
Matt 26:41
YIELDING
To whom I present myself, as a slave for obedience, I am a slave of the one whom I obey; either of sin resulting in death; or of obedience resulting in righteousness.
Rom 6:16
YOU ONLY
Against You only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in Your sight;
so that You are justified when You speak; and blameless when You judge.
Ps 51:4
EYES
I will set no wicked, or worthless thing before my eyes. I hate the work of those who fall away. It shall not fasten its grip on me.
Ps 101:3
ADVERSARY
I resist Satan at his onset, firm in my faith; knowing that the same afflictions are appointed to my brethren throughout the world.

NO PLACE
I will leave no place, or foothold for the devil.

FALL
I may fall seven times; and rise again; but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.

Do not rejoice over me, Satan. Though I fall I will rise. Though I dwell in darkness, the LORD will be a light for me.
Micah 7:8
ILLUMINATION
Lord, You will light my lamp. You will illumine my darkness.
Ps 18:28
MORTIFICATION
To die is to live after my flesh; but thru Your power, Holy Spirit, I mortify the deeds of my body; and live.
Rom 8:13
I put on You Lord Jesus Christ; and I make no provision for my flesh; to fulfill the lusts thereof.
Rom 13:14
Having Your promises, I cleanse myself from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit; perfecting holiness in the fear of You.
2 Cor 7:1
I will walk in the Spirit, and I will not fulfill the lust of my flesh.
Gal 5:16
I abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against my soul.
1 Pet 2:11
ESCAPE FROM TEMPTATION
God, it is You that allows temptations and trials to come my way; and
they are no different from what others experience. You are faithful.
You will not allow them to become stronger than I can bear; but will
always provide a way where I can bear up under them; so as not to give
into them.
1 Cor 10:13
TRIED FAITH = PATIENCE
2. I consider it joyful whenever I encounter trials of any sort; or fall into various temptations.
3. I understand that the trying of my faith brings out patience.
4. I let patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that I may be perfectly and fully developed; lacking in nothing.
James 1:2,3,4
With temptation
as a surety
I pray in me that day
A strong desire for
purity
Would help me turn away. E.H.
