"What the world needs now is love" can lead to a discussion of
"worldly love". "I love you" has many connotations. That love can be true; or it can be based on such things as feelings; emotional needs; manipulation; or selfishness. Worldly love is very subjective; very personal; and very hard to define.
The true definition of love comes from the One Who is Love; and is very objective; and is a matter of a will to love; as opposed to a feeling of love. The will to love - God's way, must come first. The feelings will follow naturally. God has willed to love us; for Love is His nature.
What the world needs now is God; for God is Love. (1 John 4:8)
